Hallelujah

KD Lang performing at the Juno Awards, Winnipeg 2005 & a well-deserved standing ovation.
(*Love that she is barefoot.*)

  1. Hi Mrs. Shoes,
    I like your blog name.
I also like the song Hallelujah. I played a little of your video to hear KD Lang sing it. I love her voice. Do you watch Saturday Night Live?
Kate McKinnon sang it. I tried to buy her version but it wasn't for sale. So beautiful!
I met you at Grammy Dee's blog party.
Maybe you can check out my blog. I am having a blog party tomorrow and hope you will come. Actually, I host ten networking events each month including two blog parties a month like Grammy had.

    1. Thank you for coming by Janice!
We do enjoy SNL, but I must have missed Kate McKinnon. I have to confess that I could not name many of today's popular artists though. I might be a little stuck in the past, musically.

    1. In these days when a lot of voices are artificially manipulated to match 'the look' or 'the brand' the producers are trying to sell, I can appreciate even more the days when only the talent really mattered.

  3. She has a good voice. Love that song. Also Kate on SNL did it very well too. I agree that most of the mass produced stuff these days is not great. I'm stuck in the past too for the most part.

    1. When we're in a vehicle, sometimes I turn the radio to more modern stuff. One thing that bugs me is that, when I hear a song I do like, the announcers very seldom ever say what the song is called or who performs it. The radio guy used to rattle off the names & then I'd know what record I should look for. Yep, I did say record... I'm a product of the vinyl age. ;-)

  4. That's one of my favorite songs. I play it on the piano all the time. Love it!

    1. Mr Shoes is learning how to play guitar (which I know you also play Linda); I have a whack ton of tunes for him to tackle when he's ready. There WILL be music at our annual Family Gathering this year!
